A No-Rip Request:

It’s annoying that I have to ask this …. but PLEASE do not rip and repost these videos elsewhere – it’s un-cool.  Thanks!  ~Joe

My take on the original “Hunter” character from id Software’s “Quake III Arena”  This model is an exercise in single-skinning – and is all sub-d’s (watch full-screen for HD resolution)

An early rigging and soft-body test.  Done in Softimage.

An experiment using mocap data – rendered in Softimage using Redshift.

An experiment using mocap data – rendered in Softimage using Arnold.

This character is based on a painting by Simon Bisley.  Modeled, animated, and rendered in Hash’s Animation:Master (gotta love the elegance of splines ….)  (Watch full-screen for better resolution).

A hand-animated walk cycle – animated and rendered in Animation:Master

Hand-animation applied over mocap data – animated and rendered in Animation:Master

Hand-animation applied over camera tracked footage – animated and rendered in Animation:Master

Hand-animated camera motion with HDRI lighting – animated and rendered in Softimage/Mental Ray

Hand-animated walk cycle with HDRI lighting – modeled, animated, and rendered in Softimage using Redshift

Turntable of a pose used in some still renders – modeled and rendered in Softimage using Redshift
